Minneapolis, MN – Aug 14, 2017 –

Flynn Midwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota, has received the most prestigious contractor award GAF offers: The GAF President’s Club Award. This highly coveted award recognizes Flynn Midwest as one of the “elite of the elite” commercial roofing contractors in the United States.

GAF is North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, and only GAF Master Select(TM) Contractors can compete for its commercial President’s Club Award. To qualify for this award, a commercial roofing contractor must demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in their business, especially in the areas of Installation Excellence, Consumer Protection, and Installer Training.

Flynn Midwest has been a GAF Master Select(TM) Contractor since 2002; the company received the President’s Club Award due to its excellent performance in 2016. To become a Master Select(TM) Contractor–a status that less than 1% of roofing contractors nationwide are able to achieve–a candidate must demonstrate proper licensing, maintain insurance (in states that require it), have a proven reputation, and show commitment to ongoing professional training.

Even before joining forces with the Flynn Group of Companies in early 2015, Flynn Midwest had been satisfying commercial roofing customers for decades as Dalco Roofing & Sheet Metal. The joining of the two companies has been leading to greater opportunities to build an integrated roofing and building company across North America.

The combined company provides the same quality services to customers, from retail outlet owners to property managers responsible for multiple large facilities. Flynn Midwest designs and installs new construction and reroofs, whether built-up, single-ply, or steep-slope. The company also provides waterproofing and coatings, roof asset management, architectural sheet metal, green roofing, winter maintenance, asbestos abatement, and noise reduction, as well as other services such as in-house design/drafting and certified estimators.

At Flynn Midwest, safety is taken seriously. An OSHA-certified contractor with an outstanding safety record, the company implements safety standards that go beyond industry requirements. It employs only educated roofers who have achieved OSHA-10 certification; many of its expert roofers are OSHA-30 certified. Flynn Midwest is a member of the Minnesota Safety Council; it is also a member of the National Roofing Contractors Association, Minnesota Association of Church Facility Managers, Building Owners and Managers Association, Institute of Real Estate Management, and Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association.

Flynn Midwest plans to continue U.S. expansion by partnering with the right companies and driving organic growth. “Our primary focus has been to find, team up with, and integrate healthy companies that share our core values and four key attributes: passion for safety, focus on customer satisfaction, positive reputation, and strong field crews,” concludes Brynne Smith, president of U.S. operations. “Flynn Midwest was a perfect cultural and strategic fit. Combined with our branches in Kansas City and Springfield, we now have a growing and substantial presence in the Midwest.”
